German compressor manufacturer Secop has announced a new family of “DLV-CN” variable-speed, energy-efficient compressors that use propane (R290) refrigerant for the light-commercial market.
The compressors are suitable for LBP (low back pressure) low-temperature applications as well as MBP (medium back pressure) medium-temperature applications, at 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz or 100-127 V, 50/60 Hz.
Secop says that the new line of compressors offers “energy savings of up to 40%” due to the variable-speed design.
“The demand for more powerful, more flexible, and more environmentally friendly refrigeration solutions continues,” says Secop on its website. “This demand can be seen in the global light commercial market of island freezers, beverage displays, water coolers, and ice cream cabinets. In a highly competitive market, innovation and optimization keep on being the keys to success.”
“With the introduction of the variable-speed DLV propane compressors, the idea is to create better performance and better opportunities for everyone in the business,” the company adds.
The DLV compressors are easily customized and come with Secop’s new CCD controller; the controller interfaces with case controllers from all major suppliers and uses speed control as well as adaptive energy optimization (AEO), the company says.
The DLV compressors’ noise level is up to 10 dBA lower than the level of comparable fixed-speed compressors, says Secop.
Secop is owned by ESSVP-IV, which is managed by Orlando Management AG.
