

ATMO Europe Announces Hydrocarbon Case Studies

Castel presents a preview of its new range Solenoid Valves for HC refrigerants, ATEX conformity for use in EX Zone 2. Nominal Capacity R290 from 3 kW to 200 kW. For the normally-closed solenoid valves manufactured in compliance with the ATEX Directive (valves with an “EX” suffix), Castel provides its customers with the following types of coils:
• Series 9100EX (coils type HM2)
• Series 9110EX (coils type CM2)
These coils are classified as Group II, Category 3 equipment according to the ATEX Directive (2014/34/EU).
Other important new products are Safety Valves series 3061 and 3065, Ps 70bar, set pressure range 11 to 60bar, NPT connections 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” and 3/4” for Refrigerant fluids in vapour or gaseous state belonging to Group 1:
• HC (R290, R600, R600a) with reference to Article 13, Para. 1(a) of Directive 2014/68/EU (EC Regulation No. 1272/2008).
Castel has renewed its entire range of ball valves 6570N Ball Valve series for HC systems, ATEX conformity for use in EX Zone 2. Connections are in copper material of 1/4” to 3.5/8”. The brass body of the valve is appropriately scaled. The use of a brass cap permits the access and the protection of the maneuvering rod and guarantees an excellent hermetic seal. Castel offers also Check Valves and Liquid/Moisture Indicators for HC systems , series 43-EX Hermetic Filters and series 44 Filters with exchangeable solid cores with ODS connections from 16 mm to 54 mm and PWM series 2028EX expansion valves complete the range of HC products.
