Italian multinational OEM Epta exhibited new R290 equipment at the Fine Food Australia 2019 in September. including its Glide panoramic chest freezer, which is available with R290.

Glid, features panoramic glass front and sides, equipped with a top lids soft-closing system.

“Overall, the event was very successful with many leads generated,” said Charlotte Thye, Marketing Manager for Epta Asia Pacific. “Our cabinets managed to capture interest from the market.”

Australia-based contractor, AJ Baker & Sons is one of Epta’s local distribution partners. The company was also at the exhibition and highlighted R290 equipment and its increasing benefits for end users.

“With the utilization of R290 and innovative designed condensers, the display capacity has been increased dramatically on plug-in display cases, opening much more opportunities to the utilization of this style of equipment,” said Kevin Sultana, National Sales Manager for AJ Baker & Sons. “Some of the other key benefits are lower noise levels, less heat dissipation within the store, and virtually being maintenance free. All having a lower impact on the environment,” he added.

Additionally, R290 equipment was recognized elsewhere at the exhibition with OEM Skope Refrigeration, Christchurch, New Zealand, winning the Foodservice Consultant Society International (FCSI)’s “Best New Hospitality Equipment Product” Award for its ReFlex range of propane (R290) hospitality fridges.

Fine Food Australia 2019 was held September 9-12 at the ICC Sydney Convention and Exhibition Cente in Sydney, Australia. With over 1,000 exhibitors, the show is one of the largest exhibitions for Australia’s food service, retail, bakery and hospitality sectors.
