Danish HVAC&R manufacture Danfoss has partnered with the Cold Chain Innovation Hub (CCI-Hub) to hold exclusive online training sessions on natural refrigerants on January 19, 2023.
The training will comprise three sessions – one focusing on propane (R290), one on CO2 (R744) and one on ammonia/NH3 (R717).
The training is open to end users, engineers, technicians and other HVAC&R industry stakeholders.

During the first session of the day, at 8:00 am CET (3:00 pm Philippine Standard Time), Danfoss’s Mark Sever, Global Applications Expert of Food Retail, and Anja Sofie Meiner Jensen, Launch Manager of Food Retail, will look at how CO2-based refrigeration can be applied to cold chains across all climates with proven examples of high system efficiency.
At 9:00 am CET (4:00 pm PHST), Torben Funder-Kristensen, Head of Industry Affairs at Danfoss Climate Solutions, will facilitate a session on the latest developments on natural refrigerants and legislation with a focus on propane-based systems.
To conclude the day’s training, Carsten Dahlgaard, Senior Director of Industrial Refrigeration at Danfoss, will lead a session at 10:30 am CET (5:30 pm PHST) that focuses on the latest development in ammonia-based refrigeration systems.
The CCI-Hub is hosted in the Philippines by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)’s Green Technology Center through the Global Partnership for Improving the Food Cold Chain in the Philippines project.
According to the hub, it is designed to provide technical resources, training and knowledge sharing, as well as facilitate stakeholder collaboration.
As part of its ongoing efforts to upskill the industry, the CCI-Hub recently hosted its second face-to-face training session, which focused on CO2 technologies. Another series of in-person technical trainings is planned for January 24–26, 2023, at the CCI-Hub.
