This month Italian manufacturer Blupura launched the Piccola, which the firm’s, marketing manager Debora Screpanti describes as, “the smallest water cooler working with R600a”.

The multifunctional cooler, aimed at homes and office spaces, uses water from the mains. “This is principally dedicated to the domestic sector,” Screpanti said. “We’ve designed this product to be distributed worldwide.”

It uses just 40g of isobutane to provide 15 litres per hour of cold, room-temperature or sparkling water. It can also provide 8 lt./h of hot water.

The Piccola also boasts a quiet compressor and a long-life refrigeration system.

The water cooler comes in three sizes; 240x451x425, 240x451x425 and 240x398x420.
