The 10th edition of the ATMOsphere America conference, scheduled for October 13-14, will feature discussions on the U.S. HFC phase down at the federal and state levels, and the impact of HFO refrigerants on health, safety and the environment, among other topics.
shecco, organizer of ATMOsphere America (and publisher of this website), announced the preliminary program yesterday.
For the first time, the conference, dubbed the ATMOsphere America Summit, will be a hybrid event, taking place both online and in-person in Washington, D.C., where the first two editions were held. The overall conference is expected to attract more than 500 attendees, including end users, policy makers, manufacturers, researchers, academia, NGOs, associations, media and consultants.
Registration is open here; Take advantage of the early bird offer to save up to US$149. Early registration is recommended due to the limited number of seats for the in-person conference.

Call for case studies
Participation in the program is still available for natural refrigerant case study presentations. Case study abstracts are being accepted until July 31. To submit a case study, click here.
The selection process will be highly selective due to limited availability, so submissions should be relevant to the North American market and include real-life applications.
Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis and case studies might be allocated before the deadline, so early submission is recommended.
Case study presenters are entitled to a 50% discount on their conference tickets.
Key representatives will discuss the latest developments in the rollout of the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act of 2020, which will phase down the production and consumption of HFCs; state-level HFC phase downs; Canadian regulations; and the adoption of standards impacting natural refrigerants in North America.
A panel discussion on the impact of refrigerants of our health, safety, and the greater environment will look at concerns about various refrigerant types, notably HFOs.
Leading end users and contractors will share their experiences using different types of natural refrigerant technologies, including benefits, challenges and future plans.
The HVAC and heat pumps panel discussion will focus on the rapidly growing demand for commercial HVAC solutions in North America and the potential for natural refrigerants to make an impact and take market share. It will also investigate the potential and significant energy savings achieved with natural heat pump solutions.
Other topics in the program include
The keynote presentation will address what makes refrigeration one of the most important and relevant topics in the world, and how sustainable refrigeration is crucial to combatting climate change
There will be a networking dinner the evening of day one.
