In this podcast we talk about California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) decision to seek input on whether it should adopt the US Environmental Protection Agency’s SNAP HFC delisting rules and CARB’s own HFC phase-down plans. We also hear from two key events in Europe.

The first, Busworld Europe 2017 in Kortrijk, Belgium (20-25 October), hosted several CO2 MAC and heat pump manufacturers. The other, the European Heat Pump Summit powered by Chillventa in in Nuremberg, Germany, saw several key ammonia and propane heat pump manufacturers gave their opinion on the heat pump market in Europe.

Finally, we take a look at the successful first ATMOsphere Ibérica in Madrid, Spain, which attracted 155 attendees. The event was marked was marked by a key announcement from the Spanish Ministry who said they would launch a new subsidy for sustainable refrigeration. Also live from the event, we hear from Ignacio Gavilán of the Consumer Goods Forum, who outlines his organisation’s efforts to shift the HVAC&R market towards natural refrigerants.
